Women Ending Hunger is a society committed to making a significant, lasting difference in the lives of citizens through the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore’s Programs and Initiatives. Through the power of philanthropy, profound impact can be made for those struggling with hunger in our region, creating a healthier and better place to live.
Membership:
Membership opportunities are open to any woman who wants to take action and make a difference in the effort to eliminate hunger in our community. Taking action is defined by volunteering a minimum of 50 hours a year and/or making a monetary donation between $250 – $1,000 a year. Members who give annually at the following levels will become members of that Society:
- Red Apple Society: $1,000 or more
- Apple Blossom Society: $500 – $999
- Orchard Society: $250 – $499
- WEH Volunteers: 50 hours of volunteer time at the Foodbank
