Are you ready for the Women Ending Hunger Challenge?
March 1 – 31, 2018
The WEH Challenge encourages members and prospective members to participate in a friendly competition to volunteer the most time and raise the most food and funds during the month of March.
Women who accept the Challenge agree to do the following:
- Volunteer at the Foodbank
- Collect Food Donations
- Make an Individual Monetary Donation
- Encourage Others to Join the Challenge
Registration is easy and free and allows you to create a personalized fundraising page, which is a simple way to invite friends and family to support your Challenge efforts and to track donations. When registering, it will appear as you are purchasing a $0.00 ticket. All you need to do is click the + button to add one ticket and click “join the challenge” in the bottom right corner to proceed with registration.

Scheduling your volunteer shift:
Once you have registered for the Challenge, you can visit the Volunteer page and follow the directions for scheduling a shift, which will include creating a VolunteerHub account to view availability. If there aren’t any available shifts to fit your schedule, please reach out to Amy Rhodes.
Dropping off food or monetary donations:
If you are collecting food, donations can be dropped off at the Foodbank’s warehouse (800 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk- loading ramp on Tabb St.) between 8am and 3pm, Monday through Friday. Be sure to tell the warehouse staff that you’re a Women Ending Hunger Challenge participant. Checks and cash collected can also be dropped off at the Foodbank.
