Music Feeds Us, led by Artistic Director and violist, Fitz Gary, is a concert series originating in Charlottesville, Virginia designed to promote hunger relief. The concerts, where audience members are encouraged to make free-will monetary or nonperishable food donations to partner food banks, have raised over 140,000 meals for the hungry in Virginia.
This year’s benefit concert will be held on Tuesday, May 15 at 7 p.m. at Galilee Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach. Musicians Jinjoo Cho and Eric Wong, Fitz Gary and Madeline Fayette will be playing Haydn String Quartet Op. 20 No. 2, Caroline Shaw Entr’acte and Tchaikovsky String Quartet No. 1. The concert is free, however food and monetary donations are requested for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.
