The Community Feed at Tidewater Community College is a mixed-use space providing healthy food options and a partner workspace for learning sessions related to root causes of food insecurity. A partnership between the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore and Tidewater Community College, The Community Feed at TCC is a vibrant, inviting and engaging space located at MacArthur Center for individuals to access healthy food and resources aimed at holistically addressing root causes of food insecurity: lack of access to higher education, employment, housing, healthcare and financial literacy.
The Community Feed at Tidewater Community College is now open on the TCC Portsmouth campus for TCC students. Come visit Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-2 on the first floor of the Student Center.
The overall vision of The Community Feed at TCC incorporates bringing individuals together to connect with one another over great food and conversation; sharing resources such as recipe cards, books and wellness materials; providing access to fresh fruits and vegetables; and workshops and learning sessions led by strategic community partners.

The Community Feed at TCC is made possible through funding from
@ MacArthur Center-Available by appointment only Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 4 p.m., Wednesdays from 3 to 6 p.m., Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Saturdays 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Online Pickup Counter: As simple as any online ordering service, individuals can place orders for assorted food boxes online, schedule a time for pick-up and retrieve food at the counter. Assorted food boxes will include ingredients to prepare meals at home. You must schedule your appointment and select your food boxes to complete the online ordering process.
First-time visitors must complete initial registration in Link2Feed (above) and then select food boxes and schedule a pick-up time (below) in order to successfully schedule food pick-ups. You only need to complete the registration in Link2Feed once.
Returning visitors can select from assorted food boxes and schedule a pick-up time at the link below.
Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time to ensure proper social distancing.

Use the system OrderAhead to get started. Type in zip code 23510 to select date and time, and choose an assorted food box. At your scheduled appointment time, you will select from a variety of fresh produce and proteins.

The Community Feed is available to individuals in need of food assistance, including TCC students with a valid student ID and SIS number.
No form of identification is needed when picking up food at The Community Feed at TCC. Sign-ups will be available for four individuals every 15 minutes. Use OrderAhead to schedule an appointment and select food boxes for orders to be complete.
Yes, vegetarian options will be available in the assorted food boxes each week.
Food is provided by the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.
The Community Feed at TCC is located on the second level of MacArthur Center, diagonally across from the Apple Store. The Community Feed at TCC Portsmouth is located on the first level of the Student Center.
In order to maintain social distancing practices, we are limiting the number of individuals inside The Community Feed at TCC to staff, volunteers and students picking up food. A virtual tour is available here.
Pick-up times are staggered to accommodate no more than four individuals every 15 minutes. Face masks will be required for everyone entering The Community Feed at TCC. Staff and volunteers will implement frequent hand washing and sanitization of commonly-touched surfaces.
